Seeing children enjoy our chateau and grounds is a true pleasure. We are equally delighted that one of our recent guests felt the same way:

I feel I must write and tell you what a lovely holiday we had in Tourgeville. My husband and I brought my three children, their spouses and my seven grandchildren for a fortnight's holiday. It all worked out so very well. The children were so happy together that they really wanted to stay in the garden and play cricket, football, badminton and hide and seek non-stop! Pierre was delightful and sorted out all our queries, even coping with our very poor French! We loved the surrounding area with lots to do and see, the weather was very kind, we were on the terrace twelve out of the fourteen nights. All in all a wonderful holiday. Local holiday activities

Mrs Aaron's younger party members certainly enjoyed the chateau and there is so much more locally when guests do venture out. Just about any activity imaginable is catered for, fine beaches to rolling countryside, ancient sites to high tech splendour. The list below just a few that previous guests enjoyed.

  • Alligator Bay is a real favourite with youngsters, who can experience the wildlife and climates of Africa, or the Louisiana forest. The whole environment built with a spirit of mystery and adventure, ideal to combine with a trip to nearby Mont-Saint-Michel.
  • Calvados museums of every variety are listed on this local site. Many are world renowned but don't miss out on smaller venues that can be unique. They often have special activities and events for children.
  • Cabourg Equestrian Centre is a good example of facilities in a region where the horse is part of the spirit. They offer half day and full day visits for all ages and all levels. Your own safety equipment is useful but they try to help out if need be.
