Equipment at the Château
The images on this page are taken in the château grounds. We hope you will enjoy the peace and beauty the grounds offer, along with the amenities inside the house.
What we are proud of
- We have rewired the whole house and renewed all plumbing. This fully conforms to the Constat de Risqué au plomb (all lead pipes replaced).
- A new lightning conductor has been installed to protect the property. This was quite a shock (forgive the pun) 4000 euros.
- Fire extinguishers are on each floor and serviced annually.
- Smoke alarms are in place on every floor.
- We ask visitors not to smoke in the château. A sand filled container is provided on the terrace, for safety and to save our guardien, Pierre, having to pick up the stubs.
- No need to heave bottles of water from the supermarket. Through the arrangements of our plumber, the water is drinkable in the bathrooms as well as the kitchen.
- We have a whole house water softener, with a special tap in the kitchen for tiny babies. This doesn't soften the water, as they need the nutrients from tap water. So babies get the non-softened, yet still purified water they need, whilst the adults, who no longer need all the nutrients, have pure, softened water.

American style fridge freezer - Barbecue with tools - Casserole dishes, cereal dishes, champagne flutes, coffee machine, couscous dishes, cooking tools - Dishwasher, drinking mugs - Egg cups, electric oven and hob - French TV with CD and DVD player, frying pans - Glasses for soft drinks, glasses for wine - Hand mixer - Microwave, mixing bowls - Oven dishes - Pudding plates - Quality cutlery - Safety blanket near cooker, saucepans, second fridge - softened water, steamer - Tableware (dinner plates, side plates etc.) tablecloths, table napkins and rings, tea towels, toaster, tumble dryer - Vases and jugs - Washing machine, waste disposer, water purifier, wine rack, wok.
There may be items we left off the list, such as internet use at the château, most things you will find at hand. We tried to equip the château in a way that would make us happy if we arrived. If you need further information, feel free to contact us.
